A Bank Holiday is probably not the best day to visit the Safari Park but I was there early before the car park got too busy.

My first visit to the Blair Drummond Estate was in the late '60's at a guide camp. I don't remember too much about the camp except that I had the most awful hay fever and had to go home early. I remember one of our guide leaders telling me that I wouldn't be able to go to the international camp, the following year, in Denmark if I didn't get my hay fever sorted. I can't remember how many desensitising injections I had but they did work for a while and along with about 2000 guidesI made it to Denmark.
