They beat him up until the teardrops start

We did a funny thing today.

We went and got the cats first off.  Dave the Cattery man, when we dropped the cats off, told us he was going in for heart surgery on Wednesday (the very day we were droppin off).  He said "it's okay - It's just two stents, I'll be back at work tomorrow".

To be honest, I wasn't worried about him looking after the cats, I was worried about him, lugging the cats about while having a heart condition.

We arrived bang on 10, and much to my relief there was Dave.   "Hi Ya Dave, ya made it", I said....   and he looked at me confused.

When we were paying, he remembered that he had told us - he showed us the bruising on his arm.... the stent went in there, he said he wasn't letting anyone stick pipes in his groin....

He was bright and breezy but I told him to sit down and be quiet - and then he said "aye, ys, but then DVT".

Christ almighty.

So we took them home, let them do the running in and out the house, Fed them, and then did a shop.

Then, we took off on our adventure.  "Secrets of the CIA".

We were going to a conversation with an ex-CIA Agent.  A whistleblower.   Heavens.  He had some lovely photos.  Some very interesting stories, but the thing I couldn't get my head round, was that he was as normal as normal can be.

He was seriously Jack Bauer,  or "The Night Agent", or maybe even Jack Ryan.

Had been a figures man, analysis and all that, and then moved to operations.  8 months of training.  How to recruit, how to do this, and that. ....

He went to jail for his whistleblowing.  Served 30 months in a Jail which wasn't as "open" as he had been promised.  met a whole other range of weird people in there too.   he could probaby have talked for several nights let alone 2 hours.

I read up about him after I left,  didn't totally tally with the things he had said, but to be honest, after some of the things he told us, I don't know who to believe any more.
