The front room light fitting

Our flat was built around 1935 or so and the old lady who lived here before us had moved in with her parents when the house was newly constructed.

When I first saw the light in the front room I thought, “That’ll have to go”, but I soon changed my mind and we’ve kept it as a reminder of the vintage of the flat. We’ve now been here for over eighteen years, so I think the light stays. I rather like it!
