Granny’s Bonnets

We were at the outdoor pool for opening time this morning and it was definitely warmer in the water than out.

This afternoon we went to the cinema in Bridgwater to watch The Penguin Lessons, starring Steve Coogan. I haven’t read the book by which it was “inspired”, as the caption put it, so how true it is to the book I can’t say but we thoroughly enjoyed it and thought Steve Coogan gave a convincing and moving performance.

Meanwhile, Yeovil were losing 2-1 away at Aldershot in the final game of the season. Typically of our season, we played really well apparently but didn’t take our chances while we were on top then conceded two sloppy goals.

With no photos taken by the time we got back, it was into the garden for a blip of our aquilegias, which don’t seem to be as prolific this year as recent ones.
