Garbh Bheinn

A day to use up more space on the memory card.

Parked the car at Nether Lochaber then caught the ferry to Corran. We cycled the 11k along the road to the foot of the glen, then walked up the decent stalker's path into Coire an Iubhair.

At the bealach, listening to a Golden Plover we spied the route ahead. Steep grassy gully, looming above. Onwards, and exited the gully without difficulty. Then scrambled over an endless series of sparkling slabs and crags to eventually reach the summit.

We noshed a sandwich and gazed at the view, Ben Nevis an unfamiliar shape. Mrs AB looked north, "I suspect you've climbed all those peaks?"

Descended off the summit to realise it was perched above an enormous cliff, we skirted round and looked back up to spy a pair of rock climbers scaling the vertical.

Then followed the south-east ridge back to the road and bikes. The views lasted all the way down.

Picture was taken in Coire Iubhair, looking up to the summit.

Corbett #208.
