Life's Little Moments

Courtship

I was watching a group of 4 Blue Jays farting around in the garden and kept hearing one make a soft, raspy noise.  I finally located the bird and as soon as I got my lens on her, hoping to get her bill open, she began this classic avian courtship behavior of begging her mate to feed her.  Not a second later, the mate showed up with a sunflower seed which he gently placed in her beak - which was regrettably behind a branch!  Well, at least I got this shot.  Let's hope they stick around to nest.

I enjoyed lunch with a friend (and our attorney) today.  She introduced me to the VP of Horse Shows which lead to me photographing some equine events, so I wanted to fill her in on that.  And we, as always, discussed dogs and the state of the country and random things.  It's always a good time when we get together.

My dad's broken foot is healing although more slowly than he'd like.  Looks like he will be in "the boot" another month, give or take.  I know he hates being sidelined, but he seems to be reconciled to letting the foot fully heal.  Hubs, meanwhile, is slowing recovering from his Man Cold.

Meanwhile, do we actually have a President who doesn't "know" whether his job is to uphold the Constitution?  Really???
