Jack .... Somewhere
A few years ago we had Jack-by-the-hedge in the garden beside our high Leyland hedge. This year they've cropped up again, en masse, but at the front of the garden so we've re-Christened them: "Jack-by-the-railings". We could just use the other name garlic mustard or the botanical name alliaria petiolata.
Something very unusual happened today. After watching F1 we made our way to the lodge to clean it after a visitor's 3-night stay. When we got there we found nobody had been, nothing had been touched since we left it on Friday. How odd! No reply to my text about everything being ready for the gentleman and no email from the letting company saying we had a cancellation.
Nothing to do there, we came home and did more garden tidying and a tip run.
