Afternoon Tea

Photo is of Ann and Janet arriving for the VE Day afternoon tea. It was delicious and way too much! I brought a scone and lemon drizzle cake home.

Before that I ‘found a piece of me’ again! For weeks I’ve been looking at the sideboard in the living room and not liking it there! No idea why, we bought it when we moved in and it does provide much needed storage. 
For years I would move rooms round on a regular basis, B often joked he never knew where his chair was going to be, but not done it for ages, and this sideboard is a big oak one. But, I have also fallen out of love with the console table in the hall and no matter what I do, it always looks messy. I did think to measure first this time, and then went for it. Dragged that big old sideboard out into the hall and it fits perfectly. And I love the uncluttered look in the living room. Console table is now in the garage and if Daniel is successful with a new, bigger home he will have it. 
My knee is grumbling from the exertion but I’m happy I did it!
