Codden hill

Cattle have arrived in a few of the surrounding fields and the owner has requested that we stay out of them. She is worried that we may be killed by a stampede!
To keep the peace for the last couple of days here we headed to the village of Bishops Tawton and climbed Codden hill the long way up, skylarks and yellowhammers filling the air with their beautiful songs.
After showering and more van tidying we set off for Instow and used the ferry to cross the River to Appledore for our lunch. Both little villages were much quieter than I can ever remember, the weather was maybe the reason. People are used to their 20 degrees centrally heated homes and anything less is deemed cold these days.
Back to Instow and we joined the ferry pilot for a beverage in the yacht club whilst the winning teams were presented with their trophies from the three days of catamaran national series racing.
Back to Amadeus and a relaxing evening with the sun setting slowly behind the trees.
Zzzzz.
