Sweet perfume

This azalea at the front door has a delicate sweet perfume (which even I can smell). The blooms do not last for very long but they are a delight.

What started as a cool (7.5oC) grey morning turned into a beautiful fresh day. The dog enjoyed it just lying out in the sunshine.

In the evening I went to the induction of the Rev Alex McAspurren at Bathgate Parish Church ( formerly Bathgate High). Alex was until recently the minister of Craigmillar Park Church which formed part of our recent union but his tenure had ended. While Alex also covered Reid Memorial he had been seeking a permanent position (or as permanent as a minister in the Church of Scotland can get these days) so it was a pleasure to see him inducted at Bathgate with a good turn out. PS. They still had pews!
