Afternoon out

Bean and I went to A and J's this afternoon to add to their debate about possible life-changes. 

It was an interesting discussion with some hidden motives which suddenly came to light after an apparently off-hand remark by one of them. Maybe they needed a disinterested party to draw them out, and to enable then to say things which might have been hurtful to the other partner in other circumstances. We left after a couple of hours with gratitude ringing in my ears, and enlightenment shining in their eyes. It is good to be helpful.

The Blip is taken from their gate. You can see the Kakanui River shining blue in the middle distance on the left. Their house is nestled in the trees at the end of the curving drive (the thumbnail). It is a wonderful spot and always a pleasure to visit.
