Another Goan house....

We leave for our morning walk when it's still dark outside so that we can beat the traffic, noise, etc.

The roof tiles of old and traditional houses are hand made and are of clay as in this house. These are increasingly being replaced by tinned roofs in modern houses as the hand made or otherwise terracotta/clay roof tiles need regular maintenance and are expensive. The tinned roofs look shiny and bright but are rather ugly.
