Is This our Summer?

Today was just the most perfect beach day this year. The sun was up from the get go and there was little if no breeze to ruffle the sea. I caught an earlier bus so was ahead of the 7:50am dippers, but there was another bather also ahead of time so we decided to wait for the others in the sea. It felt warm enough to be in the water for just over 20minutes before we decided that that was maybe long enough. I so enjoyed myself that I quite  forgot to take a photograph- someone else provided the extra.

As I walked down the High Street to get the bus I noticed this perfectly shaped tree in front of St Giles.
It’s not often that this particular stretch of the Royal Mile is empty enough of people to be able to see the tree in splendid isolation augmented with sunshine and blue skies into the bargain.

It’s still warm and sunny and another patio day has been enjoyed. Maybe this is our summer.
