Catching the light …….

….on the May blossom this morning as I had my morning circular walk. (Stephen had booked an appointment at the doctor’s.)
I had my usual coffee at the Farmhouse Bistro and then walked back again to the car, through the Moor Hall Estate, retracing my route.
I so enjoyed the smell of mown grass on the golf course and the sweet drifting scent of the Hawthorn (May) blossom in the hedges along the route, along with bluebells and Cow Parsley, mingled with birdsong, including a loud Blackcap.
The sun was warm on my face after a chilly start to the day.
I enjoyed my coffee and indulged myself with a croissant and jam, and a lovely chat with two ladies sitting at the table next to me.
Stephen got home not long after me and he now has some antibiotics to see off the rest of his chesty cold and cough. (Which has improved a lot).
After lunch we went into Sutton Park for another walk. (His first of course). A stop at the Blackroot Bistro encountering one of the Pilates ladies group with her husband having a coffee and some lunch sitting in the outside area.
After another chat we went on our way. It was so quiet in the Park at that time. 14:00h we hardly met anyone along our route.
The light through the trees was amazing.
I took a lot of photos!
We got back home after the school traffic cleared, around 16:15h.
Stephen has gone to do a bit of shopping and get some petrol as we are going out to lunch tomorrow with a former work colleague of his, and her hubby.
It will take about 50 minutes to get to the venue which is at Chadwick End.
We need to somehow circumvent the M42 as there are some works going on now to do with HS2 and signs warning of big delays around the airport area.
I looked on Google maps this morning and the motorway was already almost stationary from where we get on to way past the NEC.
I don’t envy people having to use that route.
I have had two good walks without any problems at all which is a great boost to the confidence.
Staggered to find that I have done 7,669 steps today!
I only have my phone with me when walking. So it just measures those steps.
Right now I’m in the summerhouse with the sun pouring in and the weather forecast is for it to become warmer once again.
No sign of rain yet.
The garden will need watering again at some point.
Time for tea soon, so I’ll stop here!

Quote of the week is : I don’t know.

If you’re not certain who said it just Google it!
