St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall .

A bit of beachcombing and bird watching followed by a look around a museum and St Magnus cathedral at Kirkwall . Now parked up on a campsite at Stromness cooking a veg soup for tea .
We have a “room with a view ,” we will be watching the ferry come in later !
PS we did two very “us “ things today which added to the rich tapestry. We forgot to engage our brains when following SATNAV, we ended up driving on a very narrow and unsuitable road through the middle of Stromness . Once we had embarked on the route we had to follow it through.NC did a great job and didn’t panic . I adopted my freeze position and held my breath eek ! But in a brighter note we found a charity shop and a restart centre and made some preloved purchases. Several children’s books and a couple of plastic bags full of beautiful sharpened pencil crayons . I know that sone of you will really appreciate the fact that the crayons had been so well sharpened. They were call different lengths and from different sets . The grandchildren will think they they are real treasure when we hand them over .( if I can part from them )
