Dolforwyn
This afternoon we went up to Coed y Dinas near Welshpool to buy a new grass strimmer and various other bits. On the way back we stopped at the ruins of Castell Dolforwyn, built in 1273 on a steep hill above the river Severn by Llwellyn, the first Prince of Wales. It fell to the Marcher lord Roger Mortimer in 1277 and was abandoned in the 14th century. My blip today is a view east from the walls towards Montgomery and the English border.
