After no hint of a doorbell or knock, I came out this afternoon and found five bags of this stuff and five of compost delivered to my front garden. Carrying all ten bags through to the back was a good workout.

Since PaulaJ shared her salad with us today, I thought I'd share mine (extra), moved into my new vegetable cage this evening after I'd mixed three of the compost bags with my own 'soil' (lumps of clay), ready for planting out in due course.

I'm pleased, so far, with this new cage. It replaces the mosquito net I've been using for one purpose or another over the last 40 years which will now keep out not mosquitos nor pigeons nor badgers.

Other things wrong with this text:

- do gardeners not realise that manure, like everything else in our world, including air and ourselves, is made of chemicals?
