Oystercatcher

It was a really lovely morning, very bright and mild. I was stuck in the office all day. A colleague just back from holiday regaled me with stories of his travels, and if a big meeting he went to yesterday.

I didn’t manage to escape for some fresh air until late in the afternoon. I was too warm, I was definitely a bit overdressed for the weather. I ended up leaving the office later than planned, but it wasn’t too bad, as I bumped into a friend in the bus, and we had a lovely catch up on the way home.

After tea, I went for a wee walk. The air was full of the scent of oil seed rape, as the fields are glowing bright yellow in full bloom. I was supposed to finish a training course, but hadn’t the energy for it.

I had a text exchange with Bb before I went to bed. He had his first exam today, and it seems to have gone ok. They celebrated in the park, in the sun, with a couple of beers!

I walked past Toppings this afternoon. They have this lovely painted window, advertising the book, Mouse by the Sea.
