Digging Deep
I was out this morning hunting Red Kite. They are attracted to the activity in the fields where there is some action.
The farmer has cut the grass, spread the muck and now is the big moment, ploughing the fields. I guess the scattering will come later. I am led to believe this will be maize. I hope so. Hollie loves running through the forests of seven foot high crops. Don't tell the farmer...
Whilst I was watching the fun a nice lady stopped and asked for directions. I pointed to the gate on the far side of the field. "There", I said.
She gamely set off over the freshly ploughed field, and all credit to her, managed the safety of the gate without being ploughed, furrowed or scattered. One of several shots of her progress is added to extras.
And the second extra is tonight's beautiful moon. Waxing Gibbous, 68% Illumination.
My kite photos were poor and unworthy of storage space on any media.
