Red Letter Day!

Today our elder son celebrated his 40th birthday - off grid - in Exmoor! This flag was flying from the village church today. Not in honour of our second born child but in commemoration of VE 80 events this week. Technically, this is a defaced Union Flag and in previous decades would be an offence. I believe that any defacing of the US flag still carries severe penalties. The current President has renamed these VE events as US Victory Day.
