Blipping Forty

Holyrood Palace

Today we headed to Edinburgh for the day in part to choose our wedding rings from the jeweller which made my engagement ring. After visiting the jeweller which sits in the shadow of the castle, we headed down the Royal Mile and into Holyrood Park. I studied in Edinburgh over 20 years ago and I really disliked the city during the festival period so today I was happy to escape the streets and wander round Salisbury Crags to enjoy the wonderfully familiar views across the city. This is a shot taken in Holyrood Park looking across toward the Palace and up to Carlton Hill.
