The Crossing

I took the kids to St Mary's Island today.

On the Island is the iconic white lighthouse of Whitley Bay.

I used to visit here a lot as a kid so it is always a bit surreal to come back and have 99's and screwballs with my own kids. I still find that profound.

Anyone following my recent work will detect a continuation of the theme of big sky small landscape.

The tourist shot of the lighthouse is fine but as a former native I thought this angle of people crossing the causeway at low tide was an alternative view.
