Bowls

TUESDAY

Today’s bowls match was at home against Rhos-on-Sea. We couldn’t have asked for better —warm sunshine, a gentle breeze, and the green in perfect condition..

Out of the ten games, we had four winners (4 points). However, our losses were all by very narrow margins, and we comfortably won on aggregate, securing an extra 2 points. That brought the final result to a 6–6 draw.

On a personal note, I had a strong win, 21–5, and I’m now top of the division averages—out of 175 players!

One of our bowlers donated two old chimney pots to use as planters. They’re a nice touch, though I’m not entirely convinced they’re in the best spot—I might have placed them somewhere else. That said, the club has a good eye for presentation, having won several Wales in Bloom awards over the years.
