National Remembrance Day

The flag half-mast and we know it's our annual National Remembrance Day of them who died during WW II. All over our country flower wreaths are placed at memorial sites in commemoration and with the with the wish: "Never again (war)!"
Many in our country feel embarrassed that our present Right Wing government does not condemn Israel's war crimes in Gaza; we watch a genocide performed there. An anonymous group of civil servants and ex-diplomats organized an alternative Remembrance Day gathering in the city of Den Haag / The Hague where victims of other wars than WW II and explicitly the victims in Gaza are commemorated... as the annually expressed wish of "Never Again" sounds hollow from the Dutch National Committee 4 and 5 May, since they refused (this year) to commemorate the victims of Gaza too.
We all hope that next year's annual Remembrance Day will be inclusive!
