No rain

Brougham Castle looking good in the sunshine, but see how low the river is. 

There is a general concern in the UK about possible drought conditions after all this dry weather and here in the North West it is a worry we do not usually have. We usually have lots of rain!! Apparently reservoir levels are very low and they should be at their height at this time of year. Our water comes from a borehole and I don't know how that is likely to be affected. Let's hope for rain soon. 

The extra photo is a quick snap from the car as a hare that had run ahead of us for a while was disappearing into the side. I cannot now see a hare without thinking of Raising Hare.
