Herself

I was out litter-picking with the WoL crew, but managed to route myself via the swing bridge and the swan's nest. Apparently 3 (of the 10) eggs hatched in the last twelve hours - there may be more, but she didn't move while I was there. Well, she shifted around quite a bit - I guess getting pecked from below by little beaks. You can see the result of the wound in her left side - there was flesh showing and a little blood, but now healed nicely except for those little indentations. Presumably where feathers were pulled out. Otter is the chief suspect.

I see that Leith is a couple of days behind Hartlepool!

Oh, and the extra is the Canada goose nest which is just by Sandport bridge - number of eggs unknown.
