At least I made an effort.

Having noticed that one or two of our neighbours had put up some bunting, as had many houses around the village, I thought that I should do my bit.

I also noticed a Red Ensign on this morning’s walk with the hound and it struct me that my predecessors in the Merchant Navy in the war were amongst the unsung heroes, so rather than take the Union Jack down, and its not good manners to fly two flags from the same flagpole, I decided to put my Red Duster on the front.  Mind you it has spurred me on to get a new one – the end of that one is well faded.

Biskit sitting today.  He’s had a poorly tummy and didn’t touch his breakfast nor dry food, and turned down his favourite treat, just had a loud gurgley tummy.  After a two mile walk this afternoon he polished of the lot . . .
