Another Flower..

Sorry for yet another flower..

A busy day…after my walk (during which I grabbed this shot) I had a dental appointment, basically a check up, but I needed repairs to a couple of broken teeth…which was a sort of relief as I was expecting them to need capping and a very big bill. Then we went supermarket shopping and I have spent the afternoon in the garden cutting grass and strimming paths….so not had chance for any other photos.

This fancy flower was growing in a field..it was covered in them. I believe they are ‘Phacelia’ (thanks Google).  It can be sown as a cover crop..attracting bees, and pest eating insects. It is ploughed back in later as a sort of fertiliser (green manure). Perhaps not one for wild flower week :-)

I also spotted a couple of swallows whilst walking - too fast to photograph though. First ones of summer :-)
