Aquilegia
I was doing some 'garden tidying' this morning and couldn't help noticing how pretty the newly emerged aquilegia flowers looked against the backdrop of the Spirea which has shades of bronze mixed in with its lovely lime green leaves.
Another busy day, but a little disappointing in that our corner sofa which was in the conservatory and which we thought was in really good condition wasn't after all. We had gentlemen from The Benjamin Foundation ( a local charity) round to collect it to sell in their furniture shop but when they tested it one of the webbing straps must be broken inside and it was sagging, so not suitable for them to take. It's one of the seats that we tended not to use so hadn't noticed. Such a shame, it will need to be disposed of now.
