Peony (Ten Years)
I headed to the bathroom re-fit for what I hoped would be the last time this morning. First on the to-do list was patching in the bits of flooring that I had cut out to fit the shower tray, then I got skirting boards fitted.
The towel rail and then the trim around the splashback was next, and took longer than I had hoped it would, but when I had than finished off, I cleared and cleaned the room.
With the bulk of the dust and debris gone, I was able to do the last of the silicone sealant around everything that needs sealed. It all looks ok (pics here if you are interested).
Late in the afternoon I attended an appointment at the local hospital with the physiotherapist. When I received the appointment letter I wasn't sure why I was going. The physio asked if I have had a scan yet, and then scrabbled around on his computer to find the scan. He then said, since I am still suffering with sciatica, that I would be a good candidate for an injection in my spine to help ease the symptoms. When I told him I am to get an injection as part of a study in Aberdeen he looked a bit confused, then said he was sure it would happen in June, and that he wanted to see me again in July. The appointment was a waste of his time and mine. He didn't even examine me.
More importantly, it is ten years since my beautiful wife and I got married.
