King's Parade morning

Quick morning trip to town.  Walked hound on return.  Bumped into a couple of neighbours.  Both asked of any news on moving.  All I could say is buyer is ready and keen to move but the seller's chain has a glitch.  Neighbours keen we won't disappear without informing them.  Nice to feel wanted.

Had student in the afternoon.  We've finished reading The Penguin Lessons.  I'd provided her with several choices from Google Playbooks which she hadn't read only looked at the number of pages and decided she wanted to read something short.  

I've sent a selection of samples of shorter novels including Of Mice and Men, The Great Gatsby and JL Carr's excellent A Month in the Country.  Fingers crossed she will choose something for next week.
