The Stables

After my walk this morning I got home to find Mrs I had booked a table for two. Lunch at The Stables Tea Rooms. At a place called Six Ashes, between Bridgnorth and Stourbridge.

How nice, what a pleasant surprise. And she offered to pick up the tab!

What's afoot, methinks. But in fact it was all just a very nice trip out, somewhere new, and something different.  The food was excellent. The prices were very reasonable and great value for money. It is so popular you have to book ahead. And I can see why, it was ten out of ten fantastic. And we will go again.

The owner, Mark, is a retired jockey and horse trainer.  The stables have been sympathetically converted and now operate as a fun and comfortable dinery., with plenty of outside space for warm days like today.

Recommended, if you are in the area!
