Fuschia
Our usual cake and coffee Wednesday with Kanyl. Today it was Houghton Hall at Carlisle. To quite an extent it was a case of spoiled for choice as far a blipping was concerned.
Fuschia have always been quite a favourite of mine so I couldn't resist their display. Sadly in common with many garden centres these days the label left a lot to be desired. No variety or even species merely Fuschia on all the different ones.
It is interesting (well interesting to me at least) that Fuschia was named by a french botanist in the late 17th century. He chose to name the plant after a german botanist Leonhart Fuchs.
