Gym

A frustrating day. I usually work from home on Wednesdays as the office is too busy, plus I like the break. Today I went in with the expectation of a number of face to face meetings, none of which happened. I was then going for a post work drink with a friend who cried off, with good reason, mid way through the afternoon.

Luckily my gym kit was languishing in my locker so I decided to go there instead, only to get a message from another friend asking if I was around. I haven't seen this one for ages so I persuaded him to hang about while I finished my cardio and walked back towards the office to meet up. The evening got better from there, conversations about all sorts of things from his wedding plans to children and ex partners to drive on lawn mowers to excuses for missing the one train an hour he has to get home. 

It was a fun evening, better than the gym.
