Always expect the unexpected!

I was photographing the light catching this tent at Royal Oak when a woman rushed out of the tunnel.

The traffic tunnel runs under the Westway and has no pedestrian access. Somehow she'd managed it!

In other news, I ended my day at the Rocket Gallery near London Fields where photographer Martin Parr was in conversation with potter Grayson Perry. I was there early to was able to remind Martin about our holiday on the Isle of Wight in 2008. He chuckled.

I've only encountered Grayson twice before. The first time at The Times Christmas party held at The Design Museum. I couldn't spot him to start with as he was wearing very high platform shoes and head to toe in black rubber. An interesting statement! Like a large black hole in the middle of the room.

He's very charismatic in real life (and kind).

Martin has mellowed, and is still corrected by his wife Susie.

Both were very entertaining tonight (for the metropolitan elite audience :-D :-D :-D)
