Lone Star...
This was our first full day. Still on UK time so we're up early. Went for a wee walk and found the local horse race course. Had breakfast last the hotel and had a lazy climatize day by the pool reading. Went for occasional pool swim but did manage to get a see salty sea swim in. Unfortunately. Barbados suffers from a seaweed problem on some beaches, our one being a particular pinch point. The seaweed is called Sargassum and you can see it rolling in on the tide. It was a carpet off our beach so swimming was a bit of a wading through it.
After a bit of internet research, we decided to go to Lone Star Restaurant for dinner. Apparently it is where the famous visitors to the island dine. It had a bit of a mixed metaphors thing going on. Sounds like an American steak joint, but is decked out with a car garage theme including mechanic overall uniforms.
We called up The Don to taxi us across and back. He recommended Maki-Maki when he has fish. This was on the menu so why wouldn't I.
