Weymouth

Impromptu decision to go to Dorchester market for radicchio. Disappointed yet again. The good news was we chatted to the owner of the fruit and veg stand/s. She's given us her number and suggested we phone beforehand, and she'll save us 2-3 as they sell out fairly quickly. We did however buy red chicory and frisée lettuce.

Headed to the Poundbury bus, then spotted an X51 to Weymouth was due. So hopped on and had a nice 25 minute ride.

Couldn't have made a better decision. Absolutely perfect day sunny day, with a fresh cold wind. Ideal walking weather. Got off just before the end stop and walked along the beach-front to the harbour and grabbed an Aspall at The Ship. Back through the quaint old town, before taking the train back to Pokesdown ( to get Polish bread in Boscombe).

Weymouth was at its best. Not overrun with trippers. Absolutely lovely, and so different from Bournemouth.
