A Trio Of Clock Weights!

When I was casting about for a trio of objects for today's Wide Wednesday challenge of "Trio Or Three", I happened to look at the grandfather clock that we have in our house and noticed that one of its lovely details is the trio of weights.  So that is what I chose to use for my blip.  I had heard that they were originally called long-case clocks, until in 1876, Henry Clay Work  wrote a song entitled, "My Grandfather's Clock" which became so popular that people began to refer to the long-case clocks as "grandfather clocks".  The name stuck and has been widely used ever since.  I will blip the whole clock and tell you more of its history concerning our family at another time.  Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting.....
