Another tricky morning at upholstery. I started by getting all the pleats flat, even and pointing in the same direction. The next job was to get the fabric taut and secured on the back, again making sure the side pleats were even etc. I got thst done and then called for help to cut rhe fabric so that it fitted snugly around the arms. The first one was tricky but finally done. However when N my tutor cut the fabric for the second one she cut it in the wrong direction. She was very upset about it and burst into tears. After a break we talked about what to do and I decided to add some contrast piping which will cover the necessary join in the fabric. I think it will look okay, and I was wondering about adding some more contrast anyway. I finished for the morning by stapling the fabric in place on the back and trimming the excess.
Went home and tidied up , and then took some photos of old garden furniture I no longer want which was very quickly collected. Planned the menu for Saturday and went shopping, and then went to Bridge. We played well until the last three hands . Still came 5th out of 10 so not too bad
