Spot the Ducks!

Rather bizarrely, the Hobblers spotted this pair of mallards atop the big rock on our walk the other evening and remarked that they were quite a distance from the Pond which is up and over the hill.  As I passed en route to the garden centre a short while ago, there they were again, in exactly the same positions.  The male did follow me with his eyes so he is real!  You may have to peer closely for the female who is further along to the right.  It does seem strange behaviour and I am hesitating to apply any 'human' reasons to it.  It's very quiet there and I did once come across a pair at this time of year atop the moor, but they had found a small pond to have to themselves.

Dentist this afternoon for a check up and then it will be preparing the drying ground hopefully for the hour of bracken and bramble bashing this evening.  Hope I get some takers for the Bluey Hunt!  Freddos at the ready!
