VE Day

The usual Liberation Day service in the village, with a bit of excitement as one old lady fainted! Unfortunately it was just at the moment Mr F was about to read out the names of the US airmen whose plane crashed nearby, so everyone was distracted!
He was in a dilemma whether all the names on the memorial should be read out, as half the crew survived the crash, parachuted down and escaped with the help of the Resistance! 
Then it was all round to the Mairie gardens, and a couple of glasses of Pineau de Charentes before heading home for lunch.
