Abstract Thursday: "Shiny Abstract"

This rather abstract-looking object was shining at me as I sipped my morning coffee so I decided to use it as my subject for today's blip - taken from below with my macro lens. It's actually a clear silicone "buffer" for the corner of a worktop in our kitchen - we started using them again recently in view of now having grandchildren! (Thanks as always to Ingeborg for hosting.)

I also wanted to celebrate VE Day on my blip in memory of those brave folk who kept the country safe back in the 1940s, but nothing seemed to be organised locally this year. So I'll refer back to my blip 5 years ago on the 75th Anniversary - in the middle of Covid of course.
