Lunch

I had to leave the car in Addenbrookes car park overnight as it was too dark for me to drive home; I used a taxi, getting home at 3am.

I caught the train at 9am this morning to the hospital and after many tests, examinations and physio he was released to come home at 4pm. We should have left earlier, but there were several mix ups with his medication. Once home I discovered that there should have been two lots of medication and one was very urgent. I contacted our GP surgery who are brilliant and asked, very nicely, if they could possibly prescribe some for a week to cover the weekend. Half an hour later they telephoned to say our own GP had prescribed the full 28 days’ worth.

Today’s picture is of my lunch eaten in Addenbrookes where my husband stayed. He never made it to a bed in a ward before being sent home. These sandwiches were much nicer before they made them vegan as well as gluten free.

Temperature today – twelve degrees Celsius.
