Always happens…..
When you need it! The cordless angle grinder began to make very unpleasant noises and so I ceased work. It’s not that old - perhaps 5/6 years. I rang the service department who told me it wasn’t worth repairing as they charge £12.50 per quarter hour plus VAT so at least £60/70 with carriage.
So before getting a new one I took it apart and it looks like a rubber “washer” has failed which I think is to absorb the initial “shock” on start up. Think I’ll try to make a replacement from a tap washer - if it works great - if not I’ll get another. So convenient not to have cables hanging around but I’ve got my old corded one to use in the meantime.
