Second-time-around

Eye clinic

It had a huge waiting room with yellow chairs, but I couldn’t photograph it as it was too full of people! These were in the corridor where I had to wait.

They were on time with the appointment. The letter I had implied I would be seeing a consultant. But I had an eye test with one lady and then some ‘imaging’ photos in a different room. The only annoying thing was that the letter said I should bring my current glasses prescription. I had spent ages finding it, but when I got it ready to show them, I was told it wasn’t required!

It was a very long walk to the eye clinic. ‘It’s at the other end of the hospital’ I was told. There were no porters who could get me there on time ‘they are very busy’. It’s a hospital full of ill people and the porters were ‘too busy’ to help. I had to stop and sit down three times before I got there.

I had hoped for some ‘news’ re the state if my eyes. But I was told I would have to wait 3- 6 weeks to ‘get a letter’.

My blood test results in advance if tomorrow’s biopsy came through. My kidney function has gone from14% to 13% and I’m not too happy about that.

I am totally bored with all this Pope news. They all look the same to me. I can’t understand the wild cheering from the crowds.
