As the sun rose over the Pacific

Posting a day late.
The conference ended yesterday with rather less than a whimper. Many delegates had left, and the plenary session appeared to be a repetition of earlier presentations. I was very interested in the subject matter of the session Tsuken and I attended; on Deep Brain Stimulation. It was developed for treatment of Parkinsons Disease, and has also been found to be very helpful for the treatment of severe (and treatment resistant) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Not every patient treated in this way has responded, but almost all have done very well.

My blip was taken on a morning jog. Running for a couple of hundred metres and than walking for 20 metres before more running. I got to the coast in time to see the sky filling with light.

I went further south to the Robert Gatenby Boardwalk before turning and heading back to the apartment. On the beach in front of where I was turning I saw a collection of many people standing together to watch the sunrise (I guess), and scattered along Broad Beach were many individuals and couples doing likewise. The path was heavily populated by runners, cyclists and walkers.
