Helena Handbasket

Warning

I first encountered these women indoors, when I was not wearing my outdoor jacket. I told them they were fabulous and that all my coats are purple. By the time I'd got my camera and jacket they were outside in the sunshine. I approached wielding my camera and they were pleased to see I hadn't been fibbing about the purple coat. They admonished me for not having a red hat and I explained that I'm not quite old enough to qualify for the hat. 
I see that in fact, the poem and I are from the same vintage.
