VE Day

80 years ago today, WWII officially came to an end in Europe. With my husband being involved in the local British Legion branch and being a Depute Lord Lieutenant he was on duty at the main event in town this morning. It was brilliant to see so many school children,  from primary and secondary schools, being in attendance as well, and a couple of schools had made their own wreaths.
Once back home, I spent the afternoon in the garden, some more fence painting!
