Lovely get together...

The lovely sunny weather continues and according to the weather app, the sunshine will stick around for at least another week.  I hope that's true.

Today we were having our annual get together with Blipper Ingeborg and her husband D, who are here on holiday from the Netherlands.  Inge and I agreed that it didn't seem like a year since our last get together and that time is just flying by.

We had lunch at the golf club.  Unfortunately we didn't get our usual table in the bay window with a beautiful view of the course as there was an event on, but I was happy they could fit us in as it was very busy.

After lunch we came back to ours for tea and some sweet treats.  We were able to sit in the garden and enjoy the sunshine. Inge always brings the most wonderful gifts.  Two years ago she brought us a beautiful traditional Dutch tulip vase (seen in the background of my blip) and last year she brought a lovely candle holder in the same style.  We love them both so much and they were a major influence on the colour we chose to paint the kitchen as we loved the combination of the strong blue and white.  

Well today Inge gifted us these stunning tiles in the same Dutch style and colour scheme.  And each with a personal meaning. Lola (obviously :-) Gin Palace and a nod to my crochet yarn. So thoughtful. We absolutely adore them.  

Thank you Inge!  They will be treasured.
