VE -Day Commemorations

Well, I was back at Kwikfit this morning for my new tyres. Brake pads two days ago and now tyres….it’s been an expensive week!

I went along to see Sue and we went for lunch in a very nice little tea shop in Westhoughton.

It was the WI craft meeting tonight. I was shown how to crochet, but it is going to take a lot of practise. I decided to race up to Swinton to see the VE Day commemoration. I bumped into Margaret there and we were pleasantly surprised to hear Mary Liz speak. She had retired as the High Sheriff but had been invited to speak. It was very moving and I’m glad I decided to go.
